I hope the exchanges of “I love you” among
‘lovers’ will not be like the snowfall in Rome – a rare occurrence. May it be
said as many as the countless ways in Elizabeth Browning’s poem, and may it be
expressed the way it was enumerated in Dianne Warren’s Because you loved me.
I hope ‘sorry’ and ‘thank you’ will not be
underrated today just because they have uttered the words “I love you.” Rather,
may it don’t deny the consubstantiality of the truest sense these three phrases
all shared.
I hope the love we receive today lead us to a
deeper happiness called Joy; I hope that today
will be a good day to begin and to continue afterwards, to spread love, and to
shout to the world that love, indeed, is a wonderful thing.
