As everybody is talking and very sad about the death of one of the greatest music artists in the world, I can’t help but also think of the many ‘unknown and unnoticed Whitneys’ who struggle everyday and eventually give up on living. How in the sudden death of a ‘superstar’ do we really took notice of the problem of drug addiction while we ignore its presence everyday in our own home or neighborhood? While Whitney deserved a superstar tribute, those people around us who suffered and are suffering the same fate as hers deserve our support and care. Prayers and thoughts are very helpful but extra effort to reach out and do something about the issue will definitely prevent if not eradicate the increasing numbers of Whitney’s fate.
May you rest in peace Whitney, and those who suffered the same ordeal!
